Frequently Asked Questions

  • I got my brows done somewhere else; can I get a touch up with you?

Please send me a clear photo of your brows without make up on at the current stage, I might able to do a touch up but won’t guarantee the final results after 1 session. If they already faded out, you will need the whole new procedure which requires 2 appointments ( 4-6 weeks apart)

If you brows had turned  a bit red-ish or blue-ish , you need a colour correction appointments (which can be done in 2 appointments but potentially required 1 more if the previous pigment is too strong)

In some cases, I wont be able to perform a procedure if the shape are unbalanced, the pigments are too saturated.

So please be in touch !!

  • Should I tidy my brows before my appointment?

The answer for this is No, your brows artist needs to see the whole natural brows shape so we can create desire brows to complement your facial structure and follow the natural flow of hair.

  • What should I avoid after my appointment?

After your brow tattooing appointment, it's crucial to follow proper aftercare guidelines to promote healing and achieve optimal results. Here are things you should avoid after getting your brows tattooed:

    • Follow the aftercare instruction:  Keep your brows cleaned by gently swipe your fresh brows with a clean, damp cotton pad twice a day, applied aftercare cream if been given.
    • Avoid touching or picking or peeling scabs/skin can disrupt the healing process and may cause pigment loss.
    • Avoid applying makeup, creams, or lotions directly on the brow area during the initial healing period. Skincare products, especially those containing active ingredients or exfoliants, can interfere with the tattooed area's healing and affect pigment retention.
    •  Sun exposure can cause pigmentation changes and affect the healed results. Use sunscreen on the brow area if you need to be outside, but try to keep the area covered as much as possible.
    • Refrain from swimming in pools, hot tubs, or the ocean, as well as avoiding saunas and steam rooms.
    • Avoid sweating activities: Try to minimize activities that cause excessive sweating or increased body temperature for the first few days after the procedure. Sweating can push out pigment and negatively impact the healing of the tattooed area.
    • Avoid Sleeping on your face: During the initial healing phase, try to sleep on your back or in a position that avoids direct contact with the treated brow area. This helps prevent rubbing or irritation of the brows against the pillow.
  • What should I avoid before my appointment?

Here are things to avoid before getting your brows tattooed:

    • Blood Thinning Substances: Refrain from consuming blood-thinning substances like alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain vitamins (such as vitamin E) for a few days before the procedure. These can increase bleeding and affect the retention of pigment.
    • Alcohol and Caffein: avoid these 24h before your appointment as it can contribute to sensitivity and increase discomfort during the procedure.
    • Stop waxing, threading, tweezing, or using any hair removal methods on the eyebrows at least one week before the appointment. The tattoo artist needs to work with your natural brow shape and hair.
    • Refrain from facial treatments such as chemical peels, laser treatments, or Botox injections in the brow area for at least two weeks before the procedure. These treatments can affect the skin's sensitivity and interfere with the tattooing process.
    • Skincare Products: Avoid using skincare products containing retinoids, AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), or exfoliants around the brow area for several days before the appointment. These products can increase skin sensitivity and affect the tattooing process.
    • Direct sun exposure and tanning can cause skin sensitivity and affect the healed results. It's advisable to avoid sunbathing and tanning for at least a week before the appointment.
  • What is combo brows?

Combination brows, also known as combo brows, refer to a semi-permanent makeup technique that combines two different methods: microblading (or
hairstroke) and shading (or powdering). This approach combines the natural hair-like strokes created by microblading with the soft shading effect achieved through machine shading. The front portion of the brows is typically microbladed to simulate natural hair growth, while the rest of the brow is shaded to add depth and definition.

  • So, what is the difference of microblading and hairstroke?
Both methods are used to create natural-looking eyebrows by replicating the appearance of individual hairs. But microblading is more specifically associated with the use of a manual hand-held tool meanwhile, hairstroke refers to a technique where the hair patterns are created using a digital machine, representing one of the latest advancements in the field.
  • Which one suit me better? Ombre Powder or Combo Brows?
Both techniques are accomplished using a digital machine, aiming to achieve a soft front appearance. While ombre is finalized with gentle shading, the combo technique achieves a more natural hair-like finish. Consequently, the choice between them entirely relies on your preference and reference.
  • Is the procedure painful?
The level of pain experienced during brow tattooing can vary from person to person. Most clients describe the sensation during brow tattooing as manageable and liken it to minor discomfort or mild pain. Numbing creams (topical anesthetics) are commonly applied before the procedure to minimize discomfort and ensure a more comfortable experience. Communicating openly with your tattoo artist about any discomfort during the procedure allows for adjustments or additional numbing if needed.
